Granny’s favorite quote came into play “Difficult times don’t come your way just so you can survive them, God uses times in your life to form and refine you’’. The plan for this year was very exciting, hubby graduating from pharmacy school and oh baby number 2 almost here. Out of nowhere, COVID erupted.
Quarantine period was a little overwhelming because of the fear of the unknown about the effects of COVID on pregnant women and unborn babies. However, it was great opportunity to spend quality time with the family. Oh yeah! Hubby was home full time in 3 years (his school was in a different state). It was also during this period that I decided to create this blog to showcase and share with you my obsessions about fashion.
HOW I SURVIVED
- As a woman of faith, my ideal scripture in these uncertain times was from Luke 10 :19; “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” That kept me going.
- Staying Positive and living one day at a time. Also, ensured that I adhered strictly to the health and safety guidelines by CDC (Staying home, sanitizing and wearing mask at all times).
- I followed all directives by my doctor with regards to testings and screenings just to mention a few.
- Eating healthy and taking regular walks. I made sure to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I knew that staying healthy was going to keep me and my unborn baby safe even if the unexpected happened.
With all the precautions and the safety measures we took, could you believe that a month before I was scheduled to return to work, my husband and I got COVID? All praise be to God, the kids didn’t get it and we’re all doing fine.
To end this post, I will borrow a line from Lord of the rings which fits perfect in times like this. ‘’ I wish it need not have happened in my time ‘’, said Frodo.
‘’So, do I, said Gandalf, ‘’ and so do all, who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us’’
It’s quite unfortunate that we’re where we are today however, it is my prayer that you will not let this pandemic hold you back in life. Rather, you would embrace the situation and find therein opportunities to enjoy life, improve on yourself and overall make the world a better place to live in. God Bless you
